Home Privacy and user data Summary # Privacy and user data At present, the application does not profile the user and does not acquire personal data by the 5Terre Card. In the near future, the application may be modified to collect anonymous localization data to complement data collection by transit detectors and provide more accurate crowding data. The Park intends to use localization data in different ways, all respecting the individual rights of the hiker, but this is not yet the case. Any policy updates related to this theme will be advertised on the application's home screen and registered on this page. In case of emergency, location data may be used to verify presence on unattended paths at night hours (if you get lost it can be very useful) and in even more serious cases the Park is able to identify the hiker, to link personal data from the 5Terre Card to try to reach your relatives. Neither the Cinque Terre National Park, nor Charta, nor BBS Italia that runs the ticketing service will ever use your data, even if aggregated, for commercial purposes.
